The Skript Kitchen
Located in Vancouver’s Olympic Village, The Skript Kitchen is a 3,500 sq. ft. dedicated gluten-free commissary designed to support food makers as they create, collaborate, and grow.
At its core, the space needed to work. Professional production areas provide the infrastructure and flexibility required by multiple culinary businesses, while a dedicated front-of-house space creates opportunities for cooking classes, education, and community connection.
The result is a highly functional and versatile environment that goes beyond the traditional commissary kitchen, bringing food production, learning, and collaboration together under one roof.

Tell Your Story
Through Design
The Skript Kitchen was designed to accommodate the technical demands of commercial food production while creating a space that could serve a much broader purpose.
Efficient work areas and professional equipment support the day-to-day needs of culinary entrepreneurs, while flexible spaces allow the facility to evolve for different users and activities. By balancing production with opportunities for education and gathering, the design supports both the practical work of making food and the community growing around it.
Built for Function
Functionality drives the commercial kitchen, with workspaces designed to support efficient production and the needs of multiple food businesses. A thoughtful layout and professional equipment create an environment where makers can focus on their craft and scale their operations.
Flexible by Design
With different businesses, classes, and events moving through the space, adaptability was essential. Flexible work and gathering areas allow The Skript Kitchen to respond to changing needs while making the most of its 3,500 sq. ft. footprint.
Beyond the Kitchen
A dedicated space at the front of The Skript Kitchen extends its purpose beyond food production. Designed to accommodate cooking classes, education, and conversation, it creates a place where culinary knowledge can be shared and the wider food community can come together.
